New event to help industries have greater control over energy costs

Energy Efficiency Expo 2019, a new trade exhibition and conference addressing energy productivity and affordability, is coming to Melbourne this October.

Organised by Reed Exhibitions Australia in partnership with the Energy Efficiency Council, Energy Efficiency Expo will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside All-Energy Australia and Waste Expo Australia, forming the most significant national showcase of renewable energy and sustainable solutions.

Themed “Ensuring Australia’s Energy Future,” Energy Efficiency Expo is a free-to-attend expo and conference for businesses, governments and industries looking for practical solutions to the country’s rising energy costs. The comprehensive event will provide a unique opportunity to discover innovative products and services and learn from industry experts on energy efficiency trends.

Luke Menzel, Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Efficiency Council, said it is vital the industry understands the benefits of energy efficiency, which extends beyond just cost savings.

“Energy has become a first-order strategic issue for most Australian businesses. As a result, they are actively assessing any option that can reduce their exposure to an increasingly volatile energy market. And they are finding that energy efficiency is one of the quickest and cheapest ways to bring down energy bills while raising business productivity,” Mr Menzel said.

“We are excited to be partnering with Reed Exhibitions Australia to deliver Energy Efficiency Expo. I'm confident it will provide a valuable forum for Australian businesses to get across how they can act to take control of their energy costs."

Robby Clark, Exhibition Director at Reed Exhibitions Australia, said that there is demand for energy efficiency products and conference sessions from All-Energy Australia attendees, and this reflects the increased importance of energy productivity across business, government and the community.

“Governments, businesses and industries are seeking innovative solutions and approaches to keep pace with the evolving energy sector, particularly around rising costs,” Mr Clark said.

“Following strong interest from our attendees to better address energy efficiency, we are pleased to partner with the Energy Efficiency Council and shape this event into an engaging forum for collaboration and innovation.

“Energy Efficiency Expo is an exciting new addition to our calendar of events, creating a one-stop-shop for renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste and recycling events under one roof and providing a unique offering for the sector.”

The two-day event will feature an exhibition showcasing the latest low-carbon and energy cost-reducing solutions from leading companies including National Carbon Bank of Australia, Beovista, Fuseco, Omniflow, LightWork, Stiebel Eltron, Rexel Australia, Alinta Energy Geothermal, T4E and Wattwatchers.

Energy Efficiency Expo and the Energy Efficiency Council are collaborating to deliver a comprehensive conference program addressing important issues that are shaping Australia’s future energy demand market. Expert speakers will discuss best practices, technologies and strategies in energy management to help organisations increase their energy savings and productivity.

Energy Efficiency Expo will run from 23 to 24 October 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. To enquire about exhibiting or sponsorship opportunities, please contact our Account Manager, Elan Shermacher at [email protected] or visit
