Final Countdown to enter the Premier's Sustainability Awards 2015

Victorian sustainability innovators and leaders are encouraged to enter the Premier's Sustainability Awards and share their work before entries close next month.

The Premier’s Sustainability Awards are the flagship sustainability awards for the Premier of Victoria, the Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water and Sustainability Victoria.

Sustainability Victoria Chief Executive Officer Stan Krpan is calling on all Victorians who have demonstrated environmental leadership to enter this year's awards and be recognised for their efforts.

“Each year, Victorians show real leadership and innovation in sustainability. The Premier’s Sustainability Awards is a chance to celebrate those achievements, share their success stories and inspire other Victorians to do similar work.

“Entering the awards is a great opportunity to get your sustainability story heard, inspire others to adopt sustainable behaviour and be rewarded for your great work,” Mr Krpan said.

Entrants have the opportunity to showcase their sustainability achievements, be seen as a sustainability leader, enhance their reputation and inspire others in their commitment to sustainability.

Finalists will be invited to the Premier's Sustainability Awards ceremony - a great platform to meet other like-minded individuals, share their inspiring stories and learn more about other sustainable projects.

This year the awards provide even more opportunities for recognition with 10 categories in this year’s awards program, of which two are completely new – Health and Environmental Justice. Other categories include; Built Environment, Community, Education, Environmental Protection, Government, Innovative Products or Services, Large Business, and Small and Medium Enterprises.

In addition to these awards, the Premier will select two overall winners in the Premier's Recognition Award and the Premier's Regional Recognition Award.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 29 October at the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne.

Entries close at 5pm on Monday 13 July and finalists will be announced in September.
